What a wonderful opportunity God has given us to learn! Although we should learn about Him primarily through His word, learning from books and other resources is also a wonderful blessing. Throughout my life there have been many books and sermons that have encourage or challenged me in my walk with the Lord. On this page I have listed some of them in hopes that you to by be able to be encouraged as I have been! Oh, and by the way, this list will constantly be growing so you might want to take a peek at it periodically:)
Books:
Set-Apart Femininity: This is an all time favorite. Through this book God gave me a vision for what biblical womanhood looks like played out on a daily basis by helping me understand the call of the gospel. It challenged me in more ways than words can express. Honestly, I am not sure where I would be at today spirtiual if it wasn't for this book.
*Because of some of the topics it covers, this would be a book for girls 16+ or to be read with parental discretion.
One Thing I Desire: If you are look for a book that tackles the topic of growing to know and love Christ more deeply and passionately, this is the one! As she starts with the gospel and continues on with practical scripture-centered application, Sarah Bryant encourages her readers far beyond knowing about their Savior. She reminds us of the call to treasure Christ by laying our lives at His feet that we may embark on the precious journey of knowing Him more!
When Dreams Come True: As a young girls I hear a lot about what a God centered love story should look like. However, sometimes I wonder is any God written love stories have ever existed. At least I did until I read this book! Through the pages of When Dreams Come True you will get a close up view of what a love story can look like when given over to God through novel-style writing. I have been encouraged and challenged by this book as I think and pray about a future love story of my own.
*This is another one that I would suggest a young girl read with her mom or have her parents read first, simply because it talks about what a relationship looks like when God is not in the center.
The Gospel's Power and Message: Wow! What can I say....this book is a must read!!!!!!! In a day when the gospel so is twisted and distorted there is much need for us all to find out what the gospel really is in light of the Word of God. Through His book, Paul Washer passionately and pointedly goes back to scripture to remind us of the true gospel and how this salvation message applies to our everyday lives. I was deeply challenged through this book at it encouraged me to go back to The Book to continue to search out the endless beauty of what we call the gospel.

Does God Really Care What I Wear?
This series by Nancy Leigh DeMoss of Revive Our Hearts handles the issue of modesty in such a balanced way by going right to scripture. I have been greatly challenged by it and have listened to the sessions two times all the way through. If you want a catalyst for your thoughts in the area of clothing, listen to this.
